The Kit includes a total of 100 Kg of plates Black Rubber Bumpersdivided into two plates of 5 kg (code 9040/1), two of 10 kg (code 9042/1), two of 15 kg (code 9043/1) and two of 20 kg (code 9044/1 ).
The Black Rubber Bumper Plates are entirely rubber discs, made for weightlifting (weightlifting, powerlifting, cross training) and therefore to resist the barbell falling to the ground (hence the name bumper = bumper). To guarantee a uniformly distributed support, as well as a fixed height of the bar from the floor, the Bumper Plates are all produced with the same external diameter, conventionally fixed at 45 cm by the various federal regulations. Due to its mechanical characteristics, synthetic rubber is the most suitable material for making this type of disc.
The rubber used is of the best quality, but important cost factors such as coloring and varnishing of logos and numbers have been eliminated. The high quality of the rubber, almost odourless, with an excellent elastic coefficient and good mechanical resistance, allows to obtain exceptional levels of duration despite the use of the ring.
The steel ring, placed to protect the hole, in fact represents the cheapest and most widespread constructive solution, but has the limitation of wearing the disc more in the central part.
A relative limit because the Black Rubber Bumper Plates brilliantly pass the tests over 20.000 falls.

Pros: aesthetically they are beautiful, very compact and resistant.
Cons: some small imperfections (small cuts or dents), the very greasy surface of the 5kg and 20kg discs (washable) and the strong rubber smell which I think will go away with time.

Great bumpers. Best quality/price on the market. Like all recycled rubber products, to quickly eliminate the smell, just keep the discs outdoors but sheltered for a couple of days.
