PU BUMPER PLATE – Polyurethane Bumper Plates, IWF standard colours
Made up of sizes 5; 10; 15; 20; 25kg, colors according to the IWF standards, this line of bumper is made through metal discs covered in polyurethane. As already pointed out the polyurethane can be considered the best material to make records. Very high resistance, extraordinary compactness, reduced rebound, no smell, clear colours, absence of imperfections and marks due to the mould, perfect coupling with the steel plate, the PU discs represent the best possible solution in terms of reliability, aesthetics and quality general. The wear and light degradation of polyurethane is much lower than that of rubber.
Furthermore, thanks to the high density of the material, the PU discs have a very reduced thickness, which allows you to load a barbell over 350 kg, almost as if they were metal discs, but with the advantage of having a softer support .
However, the lower elastic deformation compared to rubber can also be considered a limit for those who prefer softer and more bouncy bumpers.
As it is possible to verify in the image below, in the same loading space (we have examined the balance wheel 9015/9 – Olympic Barbell ) using the classic Rubber Bumpers which have a very wide shoulder (about 93.5mm) it is possible to load 4 of 25Kg, reaching a total weight including the barbell of 220Kg, while using the PU bumpers which have a narrower shoulder (about 51mm ) you can load 7 of them, reaching a total weight of 370Kg!
From this perspective, typical of powerlifting, i PU bumpers they can be considered better than even the thinnest metal discs.
The coverage in POLYURETHANE in fact wears out the deadlift platform less and makes the drive a lot more versatile and also suitable for other uses in the weight room.
For aesthetic reasons the PU Bumper Plates are also available in single color black with white logos and numbers.

Product of excellence, bought with discounts and therefore at a very affordable price. Material less soft than rubber but adapts very well to shocks. The big advantage is the minimum thickness of the discs. Very good delivery times and speed of customer service.

By far, these are the most affordable urethane bumpers in the world. Nobody beats them in price. They are also of very high quality. That said, they also have the widest tolerance threshold +/-3% when the competitor's limit is at worst +/-1%. no problem if you use them for volume exercises but for big 3 ceilings they are not ideal when one lifts a lot of weight. For example. on a deadlift/squat with 4 red 25kg discs you can find yourself in a range that fluctuates between 206/194 kg.
