BARBELL SUPPORTS for HIP THRUST – Pair of Barbell Supports

The barbell supports (Barbell Supports) are an important accessory capable of greatly increasing the usability of theHip thrust. For this reason they are strongly recommended, even if they may appear unusual compared to the very uncomfortable habit of starting the exercise with the barbell resting on the legs.

93 cm long, 30 high, the Barbell Supports are made of painted steel and have the particularity of being finished with a sturdy nylon edging equipped with two raised tips at the two ends, which prevent the barbell from coming out freely. Features that allow the support and safe sliding of the outrigger, facilitating the loading of the same (the discs do not touch the floor), the start of the exercise (detachment from a not unfavorable position) and importantly, the entry and exit of the user (it is sufficient to slide the barbell horizontally to have the whole platform free).

On a technical level, theHip thrust equipped with Barbell Supports, it is helpful for the correct execution of the movement as it reduces the instinctive error of performing the exercise through large leaps which involve the back and legs. Conversely, the exercise ofHip thrust it implies a very limited ROM, in order to isolate the movement of the hip, avoiding going down too much (ankle and leg action) and going up too much (back action). The presence of the barbell supports completely prevents the first error (descending too much), eliminating the premise of the second (climbing too much due to the high inertia due to the amplitude of the momentum).
