The evolution of Strongman Balls
At the turn of the 800th and 900th centuries, a very particular discipline began to emerge; men who performed by lifting spectacularly very high loads. Shows that aroused amazement and admiration, so much so that during the 900s competitions, federations were born and these disciplines became sports. Regardless of competitions, it is interesting to note that some of the exercises deriving from this sport are also adopted in modern times athletic training and in fitness just through the adoption of Strongman medicine balls.
As with the Smash D-Balls, the Strongman Smash D-Ball they are very versatile tools dedicated tostrength training, with the particularity of having structural and surface characteristics specifically designed for thehigh weight , pinch (made with three fingers). The choice of this piece of equipment by the athletic trainer certainly takes place when the trained athlete reaches ahigh preparation.
Strongman Ball exercises focus onpower training, where the component force it is certainly main but good must be added to it proprioception and an excellent knowledge of lifting techniques. It is a global, total workout that involves the recruitment of all muscles and all physical qualities. Let's take an example trying to explain lifting (Atlas Lift) and the backward throw of a heavy rubber medicine ball of 30, 50, 70 or even 100 kg.
Exercise Example: Atlas Lift and Back Throw
The athlete squats with the medial malleoli next to the ball. The width of the legs will therefore be slightly greater than the outside diameter of the ball itself. Using the inside of the forearm, he will have to wrap the ball taking care to place the hands wide apart in line with the elbow, without interlocking the fingers.
With an action guided by the forearm and legs, but involving all the muscles of the body, the athlete will have to let the ball rise above the knees, blocking it. In this phase, considered as the most technical, it will then have to fix the grip and prepare to carry out the salient gesture of the exercise: the lifting. It's about looking within yourself for the ′′ muscle connections ′′ capable of roll the heavy ball across the body towards a shoulder thanks to a global movement centered on the action of the arms and legs. The action of the legs, after a concentric phase in the squat, ends with a full push and a full extension. At this point the athlete is left with the final part of the exercise, relating to push the ball behind the back.
So we said a power exercise where the component force is main, and in fact the is main weight lifted and not the time spent lifting, not the speed of execution. A job, we repeat, muscular but not only because it is centered precisely on the exercise of all the neuromotor skills. In the explanation of the exercise, for example, it is underlined how the hand grip represents an important detail. The grip stimulates fundamental inherent nervous processes coordination e proprioception. A speech that could extend to any part of the body, think of the work of the feet (preferably barefoot) in this type of exercise.

great product, it was only a matter of time given the wide range of medicine balls already present on this site ... excellent for those who want to try their hand at higher loads always using medicine balls. Excellent quality product, resistant to almost everything. Obviously, due to the weight it tends to deform a little more than the others, but as soon as it is reused it regains its shape. in the worst case, just a slight re-inflation using the appropriate pump and it's perfect
