Cork Ball – Cork massage ball
Cork version of the Hard Massage Ball cod. 1275. The cork ball, diameter 6,5 cm has been specially designed for self-massage exercises useful for muscle relaxation. For the Cork Ball the same applies as for the Cork Roller cod. 2499, tools that it is advisable to combine.
The pressure of your body weight on the massage ball, or roller, determines the compression of the "trigger points", irritable and painful muscle knots, from which muscle hypertension can result. According to theories of mechanical treatment through massage, the compression of these nodes can "defuse" a major source of pain and cause of muscle hypertension.
Hard Massage Ball and Massage Roller find application in the activities aimed at improvement of muscle functionand joint mobility and therefore in the activities aimed at improving thefunctional efficiency and body well-being. For this reason, the use of these tools in athletic training is growing.
Compared to the Massage Roller, the work performed using the cork ball is much more precise, deep and intense. In fact, the size of the Cork Ball allows you to reach the points to be treated with precision, even the most difficult to reach, and its hardness allows for an extremely deep action.
The ball deforms very little and, like the fingers of the masseur, can determine a deep stimulation. Effective but also painful stimulation if the ball is pressed with a lot of weight on it. For this reason, in addition to the floor, it may be advisable to use walls or other surfaces, to better control the pressure exerted and better manage the detensioning movements.

New line of cork tools
The solution is significant above all on an aesthetic level, because the cork manages to express the image of a natural, biocompatible raw material, in harmony with life. This appears extremely consistent with this type of tool, often used as accessories in holistic disciplines.
But there are also technical aspects which justify the creation of gymnastic equipment, to be used in contact with the body, with this natural element. Cork is structured through closed cells and has important qualities: non-toxic, hypoallergenic, odourless, waterproof, compact, resistant, light, long-lasting, elastic. It is no coincidence that the historic application of cork is that relating to the production of corks for wine bottles.
Il behavior of cork with respect to wet conditions, in our case with respect to perspiration, and the high waterproofing qualities are perhaps the most interesting aspects for our application, both in terms of hygiene and due to the fact that cork does not become slippery. The high grip is in fact an important quality for these tools, a quality that becomes essential in the case of the mat. The 3014 Cork Mat is exceptionally non-slip, indeed, the wetter it gets, the more the grip increases. Excellent thing in all holistic disciplines but especially in hot yoga.
