The Cork Roller is a massage roller made of cork, with a smooth, very hard and never slippery surface, particularly stimulating in massage. The high hardness and the diameter reduced to 10 cm make this roller more demanding than the model in EVA Code 2500.

The Cork Roller is particularly effective in "self-massage" and stretching exercises, useful for muscle relaxation. The pressure of the body weight on the roller determines the compression of the so-called trigger points, irritable and painful muscle knots, from which muscular hypertension can derive. According to theories of mechanical treatment through massage, the compression of these nodes can "defuse" one of the main sources of pain and cause of muscle hypertension.

The tool finds application in activities aimed at improving muscle function, joint mobility and therefore in activities aimed at improving the functional efficiency and well-being of the body.

The solution is significant above all on an aesthetic level, because the cork manages to express the image of a natural, biocompatible raw material, in harmony with life. This appears extremely consistent with this type of tool, often used as accessories in holistic disciplines.

But there are also technical aspects which justify the creation of gymnastic equipment, to be used in contact with the body, with this natural element. Cork is structured through closed cells and has important qualities: non-toxic, hypoallergenic, odourless, waterproof, compact, resistant, light, long-lasting, elastic. It is no coincidence that the historic application of cork is that relating to the production of corks for wine bottles.

Il behavior of cork with respect to wet conditions, in our case with respect to perspiration, and the high waterproofing qualities are perhaps the most interesting aspects for our application, both in terms of hygiene and due to the fact that cork does not become slippery. The high grip is in fact an important quality for these tools, a quality that becomes essential in the case of the mat. The 3014 Cork Mat is exceptionally non-slip, indeed, the wetter it gets, the more the grip increases. Excellent thing in all holistic disciplines but especially in hot yoga.
