BARBELL PAD HIP THRUST – Barbell Pad for Hip Thrust

The Barbell Pad Hip Thrust is a double thickness barbell pad designed for Hip Thrust exercise. To soothe the pain of the barbell resting on the pubic area, normal standard padding is not sufficient (code 9023) born for the support of the bar on the upper part of the back. The thickness of the standard padding is thin because it must allow for correct positioning of the barbell, while for the Hip Thrust it is necessary to use thicker and less soft padding. It is no coincidence that we often see makeshift solutions; rolled mats, cushions, rubber pieces, etc.

The Barbell Pad Hip Thrust is therefore characterized by a high thickness of the padding and by the use of a high density foam covered with sturdy PVC in order to obtain a firm cushion, as well as padded and therefore able to mitigate the high pressure of the balance wheel. The finish is excellent, especially with reference to the seams and the size of the Velcro. The PVC coating completely covers the padding, even in the part on the inside in contact with the barbell, this prevents the coating from moving, as happens on the padding for the barbell with the cylinder coated only on the outside. The closure is double: external 5 cm flap and internal divisible zip to prevent the balance wheel from slipping into the opening when it is rotated to position it.

The Barbell Pad Hip Thrust can also be used in the manner of a board press, i.e. as a thickness between the barbell and the chest in certain exercises dedicated to bench presses where it is necessary to shorten the ROM (range of motion). It is clearly an approximate application which, however, has the advantage of being able to be adopted even without one or more assistants, as occurs with wooden shims.
