PUBLIC ISLAND OUTRACE T6 – Outdoor training area for public spaces
La Public Island OUTRACE T6 is a facility designed to provide outdoor training solutions in public spaces, such as parks, gardens and beaches. The structure and all the connected components and accessories have in fact been designed in compliance with the EN 16630 standard, aimed at guaranteeing the safety of those who carry out physical activity outdoors while using freely accessible equipment.
Compared to Public Island Rack version cod. 9085, this model combines the possibility of train outdoors in public spaces with the elegant design, high-impact and instantly recognizable OUTRACE structures. Unlike the standard configurations, the Public Island OUTRACE T6 has the characteristic of being equipped exclusively with fixed components, not removable or movable at will. Furthermore, these accessories have been entirely redesigned and redesigned to also comply with the safety regulations for sports equipment intended for public spaces.
In terms of training, the Public Island OUTRACE was born with the aim of combining a double need: to provide a professional, functional and complete solution, suitable for expert athletes in the fields of functional training, calisthenics, street workout or Crossfit ®, but which at the same time also represents a practical, versatile and safe training possibilities for users who want to carry out activities to improve their physical well-being.
A necessity, this, which has translated into a series of components and training stations that make this structure a real one multi-functional “island”., within which it is possible to configure extremely diversified workouts and circuits and, above all, suitable for every level.
Stations and accessories
The main structure of this Public Island model is the OUTRACE T6 Black-Corten, therefore made up of a single central crosspiece supported by a column on one side and a portal on the other, which however differs from the standard configuration in that it has been redesigned to comply with the safety standards relating to equipment intended for public spaces (EN 16630).
The central beam is equipped on one side with a Side Sky Gym Ladder, a horizontal ladder for exercises such as Monkey Walk, and on the other with two Jump Ups, each made up of 4 traction bars in an inclined position. Both of these accessories, also available as OUTRACE Components, have been redesigned with respect to their standard counterparts (respectively code OR16017 and code OR16011) in such a way as to comply with the law for public spaces. Below the portal there is a Horizontal Bar, useful for bodyweight training exercises such as push-ups or rowing.
The three points of support on the ground of the structure then act as anchorage for numerous components of the Public Island OUTRACE T6. On one side of the portal there is in fact a training station with rings, which reaches a total height of 3,51 m and which is already equipped with steel rings positioned 2 m from the ground. Under the portal it is possible to use the Horizontal Bar (positioned at a height of 90 cm) as a support for bodyweight training exercises such as push-ups or rowing. On the other side of the portal is then fixed the Bench, a bench with a surface made of treated wood for outdoor use and an inclination of 10°, which is particularly suitable for training the abs with exercises such as Crunch and Leg Raise, but also in combination with dumbbells or other exercise equipment such as chest press or rowing. The last support point on the ground of the structure, the central column, finally acts as a support for two components: the Pull-Up Bar, a traction bar with a height of 2,43 m and a diameter of 38 mm, and the Dips Bars, two tubular 48 mm spaced 56 cm from each other, which thanks to their "S" shape have a triple function. The upper part, parallel to the ground and placed at a height of 1,03 m, can be used both for classic bodyweight Dips exercises and for exercises for the abdomen and core, such as L-Sit and Leg Raise. The lower part of the tubulars is instead inclined, making it useful for exercises such as more or less facilitated Push-ups or Triceps dips.
Released from the OUTRACE T6, but still included with this configuration, are the three Public Island Plyoboxes and the Parallels. The first are three parallelepipeds fixed directly to the ground, useful for plyometric exercises and made in three different heights (30-60-90 cm) with a metal base and surface made of treated wood for outdoor use. The Parallels, on the other hand, are made up of 50 mm diameter tubes, 126 cm high and about 60 cm apart from each other, and allow you to perform numerous exercises in suspension, with or without overload (for example via Belt with Chain).
Fixing of the Public Island OUTRACE T6
The Public Island OUTRACE T6 is available with different fixing kits:
- Fixing kit for concrete plinths (code T6BCP/P)
- Fixing kit for concrete plateau (code T6BCP/C)
Fixing kit for Concrete plinths (code T6BCP/P) includes a kit for anchoring each ground support point of the structure through concrete plinths. (Plinths not included in the product)
The solution, cheaper and with a lower environmental impact, makes it possible, in compliance with the UNI EN 16630 standard, to adopt the lawn as a substrate, avoiding the installation of an anti-trauma flooring, which is still recommended.
The fixing kit for Concrete plateau (code T6BCP/C) includes chemical anchor bolts for concrete, and must be chosen if the structure (or its sub-components) is to be fixed on a whole reinforced concrete base, with a minimum thickness of 15 cm.
The adoption of a concrete slab as a base implies, according to the UNI EN 16630 standard, the presence of an anti-trauma flooring with a minimum thickness of 40mm, for example 9198 o 9199. The aim is to cushion the user's accidental fall during training.
For this release, you can rate the package Public Island OUTRACE T6 Playground cod. T6BCP_F, already including an area of 110 square meters of anti-trauma themed flooring and the underlying concrete screed, built according to EN71.3 and EN1177 standards.
