Series of Competition Kettlebells (Gyria) with standard dimensions, which do not vary with weight variation. COMPETITION KETTLEBELL
Competition kettlebells, also known by the Russian term gyria, are tools designed to international standards to ensure uniformity in size, regardless of weight. This feature is essential to enable a consistent technical gesture at every stage of training and competition, benefiting precision, biomechanics and efficiency of movement.
Our Competition Kettlebell series meets these requirements: each gyria maintains constant external dimensions, varying only the internal weight. Different construction solutions are used to achieve this. Kettlebells from 8 kg to 36 kg are made by modifying the thickness of the metal shell. The higher weights (40, 44 and 48 kg) include a fixed lead insert to achieve the desired mass. The 4 kg model (code 2189), the only one of its kind, is made of aluminium to maintain the standard structure with reduced weight. This results in a slightly higher cost compared to 8 or 12 kg kettlebells, which is justified by the special nature of the material and production process.
The handle has a regular rectangular shape, with a straight profile in both the horizontal part and the vertical uprights, and a uniform diameter of 33 mm. This thickness - greater than that of an Olympic barbell (28 mm) - represents an excellent compromise between effectiveness in grip, due to the better 'hand wrapping' around the handle, and comfort in use, avoiding the so-called 'cutting grip'.
The distance between the handle and spherical body is 60 mm, a measure designed to reduce the leverage effect on the wrist and improve stability in the rack position. The width of the handle, on the other hand, is 128 mm, ensuring sufficient space even for athletes with large hands or for performing two-handed exercises.

The characteristics of the kettlebell in modern times: a true one-handed training system
Although the kettlebell is a piece of equipment that first appeared in the sporting world with the Girevoy Sport competitions in its Gyria conformation (Russian name for the competition version), in the last decade it has gained a foothold in all physical-sports contexts, from commercial gyms to professional sports clubs of various disciplines, and even sees some applications in functional rehabilitation and post-traumatic recovery centres. The reason for this success is given by the extraordinary intrinsic technical characteristics of this tool, which is as simple and rough as it is effective and even 'innovative' in some people's eyes. The off-centre mass with respect to the handle makes it an extremely versatile tool, from its use in traditional weight training exercises (Squat, Press, Overhead Squat) to the most representative ballistic exercises of Kettlebell Training (Swing, Clean, Snatch, Jerk, Push Press). It is precisely this fundamental characteristic that encapsulates its essence: the possibility of developing wide trajectories, at maximum expressible power and in complete safety, while developing great grip strength.
In which sports does Kettlebell Training have applications?
In all those requiring coordination, stability, strength, speed, power and endurance. If we add to these abilities the joint mobility that is indirectly conditioned in the eccentric phases of ballistic exercises, and the proprioception in controlling a highly unstable implement along wide trajectories that tend to unbalance the body and consequently condition its ability to control along the axis of its centre of gravity, it is soon explained how Kettlebell Training becomes a valid tool for conditioning the coordination and conditional abilities of every sporting discipline.Why does the kettlebell also fit perfectly into workouts aimed at general aesthetic fitness?

Having an instrument with the characteristics of the kettlebell is an excellent aid for a physiotherapist or personal trainer, during the phase of building a person's stability, coordination and strength, characteristics that must be trained hand in hand with joint mobility and proprioception, in order to achieve an effective and long-lasting recovery.
Those who want to approach training with this equipment must absolutely rely on instructors who have the technical and professional skills to adapt their applications to each type of request and specificity of the person, and who are able to transfer the appropriate technical skills in the execution of the exercises as effectively as possible and in a short time.
Technique (with respect for the biomechanics of the human body), aims, didactic progressions and training programming are the pillars of an instructor's sports training, and even more so if you want to appreciate the kettlebell not just as an end in itself, but as a real training system.
