1 - Introduction and Corporate Mission
Sidea Srl, a company specialising in the design, supply and installation of equipment for fitness, sports and public spaces, including parks and outdoor areas, is committed to operating according to the highest standards of legality, integrity and professionalism.
Our mission is to contribute to the well-being of the community by creating safe, inclusive and stimulating spaces for play and physical activity, always operating with an eye on environmental and social sustainability.
This Code of Ethics formalises the principles and rules of conduct that guide our every action and decision. It represents the foundation of the trust that customers, collaborators, partners and the community place in Sidea Srl.
Scope of Application
This Code of Ethics applies, without exception, to all directors, partners, employees, collaborators, consultants and business partners (including suppliers and agents) operating in the name and on behalf of Sidea Srl, in Italy and abroad.
2 - Fundamental Ethical Principles
Sidea Srl bases its activities on the following fundamental principles:
Legality and Honesty
We scrupulously respect the laws, regulations and standards in force in all the markets in which we operate (Italy, European Union and non-EU), conducting every relationship with transparency and fairness.
Centrality of the Person
We believe in the value of every individual. We ensure a respectful and inclusive working environment and place the safety and satisfaction of our customers at the centre of every project.
Quality and Safety
We design and install products in compliance with applicable technical regulations and safety standards, including - where required - EN 1176 and EN 1177. Quality is an ongoing commitment to ensure durable, reliable and safe equipment.
Sustainability
“The future is a game to be preserved”. We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our activities through the responsible use of resources, choosing recyclable materials and adopting efficient production processes.
Integrity and Reputation
The reputation of Sidea Srl is a fundamental value. All behaviour must be inspired by integrity and aimed at protecting the company's image and reliability.
Human rights and labour protection
Sidea Srl operates with full respect for the dignity of the individual and fundamental human rights, in accordance with the principles enshrined in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), and current national and European legislation.
In particular, Sidea Srl guarantees:
an absolute ban on child labour;
- the prohibition of forced or compulsory labour;
- the rejection of any form of exploitation or irregular employment;
- respect for freedom of association and the right to trade union representation;
- the recognition of fair and proportionate remuneration;
- compliance with rest periods and working time regulations;
- the protection of health and safety in the workplace;
- prevention and condemnation of all forms of harassment, abuse or behaviour detrimental to personal dignity;
- the promotion of equal opportunities and the prohibition of discrimination of any kind.
3 - Rules of Conduct
Protection of Employees and the Working Environment
Sidea Srl undertakes to:
- ensuring a safe, healthy and discrimination-free working environment;
- enhance the skills and promote the professional development of its employees and collaborators;
- reject all forms of irregular work and exploitation;
- foster dialogue and cooperation, promoting a climate of mutual trust.
Customer Relations
Sidea Srl adopts an approach based on listening, consulting, planning and implementation, committing itself to
- provide clear, complete and truthful information on the products and services offered;
- proposing customised solutions that respond concretely to customers' needs, guaranteeing the best value for money;
- respect the agreed delivery and installation time;
- handle complaints and service requests promptly and professionally.
Relations with Suppliers
Suppliers and partners are selected on the basis of objective criteria such as quality, reliability, competitiveness and sustainability. Sidea Srl requires its suppliers to:
- comply with current labour, safety and environmental regulations;
- adhere to the ethical principles expressed in this Code;
- maintain business relations characterised by fairness, transparency and loyalty, refraining from unfair or unlawful practices.
Community and Environmental Relations
As an active operator in the public space, Sidea Srl recognises its social responsibility and undertakes to
- minimise the environmental impact of construction sites and operations;
- promote the use of sustainable materials, such as aluminium, which is infinitely recyclable;
- dialogue with local communities to implement projects that enhance the area and respect its characteristics.
Relations with the Public Administration
In its relations with public bodies, administrations and officials, Sidea Srl and all persons acting on its behalf adopt conduct characterised by the utmost transparency and integrity.
It is absolutely forbidden to:
- Promising, offering or giving money, gifts or other advantages in order to influence decisions or obtain favourable treatment;
- have relationships that could be interpreted as conflicts of interest or corrupt practices.
4 - Conflict of Interests
Sidea Srl requires all persons acting on its behalf to avoid situations of actual or potential conflict of interest and to promptly report them to the Management.
5 - Confidentiality, Data Protection and Brand Protection
All confidential and sensitive information (company data, technical know-how, customer, employee and collaborator data) are considered assets to be protected and are handled in full compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and current privacy legislation.
All those involved are also required to use the name, brand and image of Sidea Srl in a correct manner, avoiding conduct or communications that may damage the company's reputation.
6 - Reporting and Whistleblowing Protection
Sidea Srl promotes a corporate culture of transparency, integrity and individual responsibility.
Anyone who becomes aware of conduct that does not comply with the law, the principles of this Code of Ethics or company procedures is invited to report it in good faith.
The alerts may concern, by way of example:
- violations of the law;
- conduct contrary to the company's ethical principles;
- administrative or accounting irregularities;
- undeclared conflict of interest situations;
- discriminatory, harassing or insulting behaviour;
- unfair commercial practices.
Reports can only be made through the dedicated anonymous form available on the company website: https://www.sideaita.it/segnalazioni/ , designed to ensure the confidentiality and anonymity of the reporter.
If the report concerns the Management, it may be addressed to the Director or the Sole Auditor.
Sidea Srl guarantees:
- the confidentiality of the reporter's identity;
- the impartial and timely handling of the report;
- the absence of any form of retaliation, discrimination or penalisation against whistleblowers in good faith;
- protection of the confidentiality and dignity of any persons involved, until the facts are established.
Retaliation of any kind against the reporter will not be tolerated.
Reports should be substantiated and based on factual elements. Instrumental or bad faith use of the system may lead to disciplinary measures.
Management is responsible for managing and evaluating the reports received and taking any corrective measures.
7 - Implementation of the Code and Reporting
Sidea Srl promotes knowledge of and compliance with this Code of Ethics.
Vigilance
Management is responsible for supervising the application of the Code of Ethics and for promoting its updating.
Whistleblowing
Any alleged or ascertained violation of this Code of Ethics may be reported. The company provides appropriate communication channels to allow confidential reports and undertakes to assess them carefully, protecting those who report in good faith from any form of retaliation.
Sanctions
Violation of the provisions of this Code of Ethics constitutes a breach of contractual obligations and/or a disciplinary offence and will be penalised in proportion to the seriousness of the violation, in accordance with the laws in force.
This Code of Ethics is published on the Sidea Srl website and is an integral part of the company's commitment to customers, partners, institutions and the community.
