EVA TATAMI 2 cm - Colour Red-Blue
Tatami flooring made of EVA with a thickness of 2 cm, with puzzle interlocking and a red-blue colour, for martial arts and sporting activities in general where a highly absorbent surface is required but with an excellent degree of bearing capacity, stability and adherence.
The optimal ratio between absorption and stability is due to the extraordinary mechanical characteristics of EVA: more 'rubbery' and resistant than other polymers. The grip is guaranteed by a non-abrasive rice-straw embossed surface and is therefore also suitable for Primitive-type ground training.
Produced in EVA, the 2 cm Tatami is highly resistant, non-deformable and hygienic; EVA is a closed-cell polymer and does not require glues or hazardous substances such as formaldehyde. The joints are designed to facilitate installation in such a way as to make it quick and practical, which is very useful in cases where the multifunctional nature of the rooms obliges frequent movement of the tiles. The 2 kg weight further facilitates movement.
The reversibility of the tiles, bi-coloured red/blue, allows you to define certain work areas or to choose between the two alternative colours.
By definition and inherent characteristics, tatamis should be used barefoot, or with footwear free of soles, sharp and/or abrasive parts.
Complies with Regulation 1907/2006 REACH. Exercise equipment that can also be used by children under 14 years of age. Reg. 1907/2006 REACH concerns the evaluation of chemicals; it aims to ensure the highest level of protection of human health and the environment.
EVA mats - Quality, safety and user perception of Sidea tiles
The tatami cannot be perfectly identical if the tiles are purchased at a distance.
EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) tiles, like all foam materials, may show variations in colour, density or surface texture between different production batches. These differences are completely normal and result from production tolerances typical of soft materials and processing conditions.
In the course of use, then, EVA tends to change slightly under compression and friction, progressively adapting to the support surface, the activity performed and the environment. It is therefore natural that a user, accustomed to his or her tatami over time, will perceive a different degree of softness, friction or elastic response to new tiles.
Sidea is a leading manufacturer of tatami and all Sidea tatami are made from materials that comply with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 REACH, which governs the registration and evaluation of chemicals used in manufacturing processes. This compliance guarantees the highest level of health and environmental protection, ensuring that the materials used are free of banned or potentially harmful substances. The choice not to use chemical plasticising and stabilising additives, in addition to the natural characteristics of EVA, may make the tiles slightly more susceptible to production tolerances and slight changes due to use. However, this choice is to the benefit of safety, as it contributes to full compliance with the REACH Regulation, ensuring that Sidea's mats are also safe for children and infants, who can use them in total peace of mind for their first motor and exploration activities.
