0010 AED Rescue Sam semi-automatic defibrillator

RESCUE SAM defibrillator is the semi-automatic defibrillator designed to support the operator during rescue manoeuvres with simple and clear voice information as well as light indicators. Small size, light weight, a true battery-powered handset. RESCUE SAM is designed to intervene in Ventricular Fibrillation (VF) and Ventricular Tachycardia (VT) situations.

WAVE FORM: BTE (biphasic truncated exponential wave); energy discharge controlled by impedance measurement
ENERGY: 200J fixed as per new 2010 AHA guidelines - adult: 200J nominal in an impedance of 50 Ω - infant/child: less than 50J nominal using paediatric electrodes
DISCHARGE ENERGY ACCURACY: in accordance with IEC EN60601-2-4
PROTOCOL: voice indicators and light signals guide the user through the protocol
PACEMAKER: artefact detection and removal
CHARGE CONTROL: automatic by software (arrhythmia detection and charge control system)
CHARGE TIME FROM LOW BATTERY WARNING: less than 8 seconds with new battery
VOICE INSTRUCTIONS: detailed voice messages tell the operator what to do
CONTROLS: discharge button, info button, On/Off button
INDICATORS: LED (different colours), info button
COMPLETE CHARGE INDICATOR: - Voice indications (press red, shock) - Backlit, flashing discharge button (red)
DISARM: Once charged, it disarms if: - The patient's heart rhythm changes to become non-defibrillable, or - The discharge button is not pressed within 15 sec. of charging, or - The On/Off button is pressed turning the defibrillator off, or - The paddles are disconnected from the patient or the paddle connectors are disconnected from the machine
DISCHARGE SEND: discharge is performed if the discharge button is pressed while armed
DISCHARGE VECTOR: adults with front-positioned plates or reduced-energy paediatric plates in front and rear position

BATTERY: 12 Volt DC, 4.2 Ah, LiMnO2, long-life non-rechargeable battery
