HIP BAND - Fabric elastic band for training thighs and buttocks
The Hip Band is a durable, ring-stitched, elastic fabric band with internal non-slip rubberizing. Placed above the knees, it is used as a complementary tool in hip flexion and extension exercises, especially squats and hip thrusts, in order to achieve greater activation of the gluteus minimus and the tensors of the fascia lata (hence the name).
Especially when performing squats with high overload, the use of an elastic band, placed above the knees, to be extended by pushing outwards, also helps the user to correct the recurring error of bringing the knees together, leading the legs to assume an incorrect 'X' position.
However, it is not this latter technical function that makes the Hip Band popular, but rather its remarkable effectiveness in training the buttocks, so much so that it is also called the Glute Band. With this in mind, as part of a training circuit dedicated to training the buttocks. with exercises such as squats, lunges, etc., the use of the Hip Band in combination with the Hip Thrust Platform Bench code 9122 is extremely effective because the exercise with bent knees results in a high workout of the buttocks with an extraordinary 'glutes squeeze'.
