ABDOMINAL SUSPENSION BANDS - Abdominal suspension training bands
These are a pair of padded bands specially designed for suspension exercises; pulling and weightlifting exercises. The name Abdominal Suspension Bands, derives from the widespread use of this equipment as a tool for training the abdominals and other related muscle groups by lifting the legs (suspension reverse crunches, twists) while hanging from the bands from a bar or other support.
The use of Abdominal Suspension Bands greatly facilitates the execution of suspension crunches as it makes the hanging work less strenuous compared to gripping with the hands. This allows the exercises to be performed in a more analytical manner, even for those with a low level of training and confidence with suspension. In fact, the straps supplied allow the height at which the arms are inserted into the bands to be lowered, making this type of training particularly accessible to all. This latter aspect can prove useful in functional fitness training circuits, also to better identify the type of exercise to be performed in a given location.
