Clubs Training
INSTRUCTOR COURSE Among the equipment for Functional Training, Clubs are certainly among those most misunderstood by many, both because of their shape, which in the modern era is not easily related to physical training, and because they are difficult to use when one does not have a solid technical basis, which only a trainer specialised in their use can have.
On the other hand, however, clubs, precisely because of their particular shape, have unique potential compared to all other training equipment, making them extremely versatile and effective in many aspects of physical training, from injury prevention (especially of the shoulder) to general physical preparation (of those who seek aesthetics associated with health and joint functionality in the gym), and specific to all sports where a strong and functional structure of the scapulohumeral girdle is required, both in terms of stability and in multiplanar movements (combat sports, throwing sports, basketball, volleyball, water polo, tennis, baseball, rugby, football goalkeeping, swimming, skiing, etc.).
This is in fact the fundamental characteristic of the clubs, to allow joint decompression work associated with continuous stabilisation in the physiological joint location of the scapular girdle, in the three planes of movement (sagittal, frontal and especially transverse), with continuous support of the core and the lower body base (hips and lower limbs).
Because of their shape, clubs (conical clubs) allow the grip to be off-centre from the mass. Manoeuvring the clubs quickly develops great grip, strength, endurance and muscular quality.
Their shape also allows the safe development of ballistic movements by engaging all muscle chains in all planes of movement, thus improving the health of joints (particularly the scapulohumeral-thoracic girdle) and posture, as well as rapidly increasing the coordination, speed and power of the person using them!
These tools are very effective both in terms of athletic preparation and in improving posture and general physical conditioning.
The aim of the course is to train instructors in the safe and effective use of these extraordinary tools, so that they can be applied to the demands of athletes in the various disciplines (development of specific physical qualities) and the common gym user (aesthetic and wellness goals).
