What are the benefits of aerobic training on a step machine?

Step training combines a level of stress on the ligaments equivalent to that of walking on the road with an aerobic benefit equivalent to a light run at around 10–12 km/h, allowing you to train at high heart rates whilst reducing the risk of injury.

How do you adjust the intensity of the workout with the Premium Step?

The intensity of step exercise depends on the frequency (step speed) and the force (step height). The higher the frequency or the step height, the greater the intensity. The Premium Step offers 3 adjustable heights to suit your intensity level.

AEROBIC TRAINING ON STEP

The factors that affect the intensity of the exercise are frequency (step speed) and strength (step height): the higher the frequency, the higher the intensity. Similarly, the higher the step height, the greater the intensity.

By playing with these factors, it is possible to create a medium-intensity exercise with low stress on the ligaments that are usually caused by other high-intensity aerobic exercises, as cited by recent scientific studies.

To summarise these studies: the characteristics of step work have been assimilated at the level of stress on the ligaments equal to that of a road march, while on the other hand it has an aerobic benefit equal to that of a light jog of around 10-12Km/h.

This combination makes step training an excellent compromise that allows training at high heart rates while reducing stress or injury.
