0093 Reformer Mat

The Reformer Mat 0093 is a contoured mat designed specifically for the Pilates Reformer 0095.

Made from natural rubber and polyurethane, it rests directly on the carriage, creating a dedicated, stable and non-slip work surface, without affecting the smoothness of movement or the mechanical characteristics of the tool.

Increasingly popular in professional Pilates studios, the Reformer Mat was designed primarily to meet requirements for hygiene, safety and comfort; it is a simple accessory that can significantly enhance the training experience.

A personal hygiene barrier

In Pilates studios and fitness centres, the Reformer is normally used by numerous people throughout the day.

The Reformer Mat creates a hygienic barrier between the user and the carriage, helping to limit direct contact between sweat and the machine’s original upholstery. At the end of the session, the mat can be easily cleaned and sanitised, simplifying the day-to-day maintenance of the equipment.

For this reason, some studios choose to provide a mat for each Reformer, whilst others prefer to assign a personal Reformer Mat to regular clients, thereby further improving hygiene standards and perceived comfort.

Coating protection

As well as being hygienic, the mat also helps to protect the trolley.

By acting as an intermediate layer between the user’s body and the original padding, it helps to reduce wear caused by friction, contact with technical clothing and the effects of sweat, thereby preserving the appearance and durability of the Reformer’s upholstery over time. This is a particularly useful feature in professional studios, where the high frequency of use makes it important to keep the equipment in optimal condition even after many years of service.

Comfort and stability during exercise

The 5 mm thickness enhances comfort in positions where the back, hips, knees or elbows are supported for prolonged periods, without compromising stability of movement.

The polyurethane surface also offers excellent grip, helping to minimise slipping during exercises that require greater body control on the slide. This is particularly beneficial during more dynamic sequences, transitions and stabilisation exercises, where a stable surface promotes precision of execution and quality of movement.

A small accessory that enhances the Reformer

The Reformer Mat is a simple yet extremely functional accessory, designed to enhance user comfort, improve hygiene standards in the studio and help preserve the equipment.

Given its low cost relative to the value of the Reformer, it is a particularly attractive addition for both professional Pilates studios and home gyms, where it helps to keep the carriage in optimal condition over time.
