What are the dimensions of the Soft Hurdle?

The Soft Hurdle measures 600 x 200 x 300 mm (length x width x height) and weighs 760 grams. Its height of 30 cm makes it suitable for training circuits focusing on speed, endurance and agility, for both beginners and advanced athletes.

What material is the Soft Hurdle made of?

The Soft Hurdle is made from high-density foam covered with a PVC shell. This construction ensures the necessary softness to provide a sense of security during exercises, reducing the risk of injury in the event of an impact, whilst maintaining its durability under repeated use.

Can the Soft Hurdle be used outdoors?

Yes, the Soft Hurdle can be used both indoors and outdoors. The PVC covering protects the inner foam core from the elements, allowing it to be used on outdoor tracks on grass, artificial turf or technical surfacing. We recommend storing it indoors after use to prolong its lifespan.

For which sports is the Soft Hurdle recommended?

The Soft Hurdle is suitable for pre-athletics, athletic training, functional fitness, and metabolic and motor activities for older adults. Its softness makes it particularly well-suited to complex, multidisciplinary circuits that combine agility exercises with other training components.

How many Soft Hurdles are needed for a training circuit?

The number depends on the exercises planned. For basic agility drills, you’ll need at least 5–6 hurdles arranged in a line. For complex circuits or work across multiple lanes, sets of 10–12 hurdles are recommended. The Soft Hurdle can be used individually or in long sets, depending on the requirements of the training programme.

Is the Soft Hurdle suitable for beginners?

Yes, the Soft Hurdle’s softness gives users a sense of security, allowing even beginners to get the most out of the exercises without fear of impact. This feature makes it ideal for those new to agility training, as well as for educational and rehabilitation settings.

How do you clean and look after the Soft Hurdle?

The PVC covering of the Soft Hurdle can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid using harsh solvents, as these may damage the material. After outdoor use, dry the hurdle before storing it. Store in a dry place, away from prolonged direct sunlight.

What is the difference between a Soft Hurdle and a Speed Hurdle?

The Soft Hurdle is made from PVC-coated foam, making it soft and safe for multi-discipline training circuits. The Speed Hurdles (codes 0255 and 0257) are rigid hurdles designed specifically for speed and technical agility training. The Soft Hurdle prioritises safety, whilst the Speed Hurdles focus on the precision of athletic movement.

SOFT HURDLE - PVC-coated soft hurdle h 30 cm

The Soft Hurdle is a 30 cm high training hurdle, made of high-density foam rubber protected by a PVC cover, for functional athletic conditioning exercises. It is particularly suitable in the composition of training circuits that include a component dedicated to speed, endurance and agility.

In fact, the softness of the obstacle instils confidence in the users, allowing them to interpret the exercises to the full even in complex, multi-disciplinary circuits that are not exclusively dedicated to agility.

For this reason, being medium soft, it is a useful obstacle in any training context: pre-athletic training, athletic preparation, functional fitness, metabolic and motor activities for the elderly. It can be used both indoors and outdoors, individually or in long series.
