What is the difference between the Flat Hula Hoop and a traditional hula hoop?

The Flat Hula Hoop (item no. 2034) has a flat cross-section rather than a tubular one, a feature that makes it suitable for use as a floor marker for dynamic and functional exercises. It is not designed to be spun around the body, but rather as a visual reference point in agility and coordination exercises and training circuits.

What is the diameter of the Flat Hula Hoop?

The Flat Hula Hoop is available in one size only, with a diameter of 60 cm (Ø 600 mm). This size makes it versatile for various types of drills: jumping in and out, spinning around the hoop, and marking out stations in circuit training.

What exercises are done with the Flat Hula Hoop?

The Flat Hula Hoop is used as a floor marker for dynamic and functional exercises: single-leg and double-leg jumps, agility and coordination drills, SAQ training (speed, agility, quickness), marking out zones in functional circuits, footwork exercises and changes of direction.

Is the Flat Hula Hoop suitable for indoor and outdoor training?

Yes, the Flat Hula Hoop can be used both in the gym and outdoors. Its flat design means it can be placed securely on the ground on a variety of surfaces. For more intensive outdoor use, we recommend checking the condition of the material from time to time.

How many Flat Hula Hoops do you need for a training circuit?

The number depends on the exercise: for linear drills, 4–6 rings are required; for functional circuits with multiple stations, 6–10 rings. Item no. 2034 is sold individually. For exercises requiring smaller hoops and multicoloured sets, see the Agility Rings, item no. 2035 (Ø 32 cm, set of 5).

How do you clean and store the Flat Hula Hoop?

The Flat Hula Hoop should be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. After outdoor use, we recommend removing any dirt and residue. Store it lying flat or hung up, away from direct heat sources and prolonged exposure to UV rays to preserve the integrity of the material.

Is the Flat Hula Hoop compatible with other agility training equipment?

Yes, the Flat Hula Hoop can be used in conjunction with various pieces of equipment for speed and agility training: training cones (item no. 0250), Speed Hurdles (item nos. 0255 and 0257), and the Agility Ring (item no. 2035). It can be incorporated into mixed circuits that alternate between jumps, changes of direction and speed drills.

What is the difference between a Flat Hula Hoop and an Agility Ring?

The Flat Hula Hoop (item no. 2034) has a diameter of 60 cm, is sold individually and is red in colour. The Agility Rings (code 2035) have a smaller diameter of 32 cm, are supplied in a set of 5 rings in assorted colours and allow for faster drills with shorter distances between the markers.
