How many dumbbells does it contain: It depends on the weight, because the dumbbells are stacked in the columns and the heavier ones have larger heads. Using all 11 columns, the rack holds, for example, approximately:

80 pairs of 0.5 kg dumbbells (vinyl)
70 pairs of 1 kg vinyl dumbbells
50 pairs of 2 kg vinyl dumbbells
45 pairs of 3 kg vinyl dumbbells

How to load the dumbbells

The dumbbells are inserted from above into the 11 columns between the vertical posts and stacked one on top of the other. The number of dumbbells per column increases with weight: the lighter ones can be placed side by side in adjacent columns, whilst the heavier ones go in alternating columns, leaving the middle column free. The columns are counted starting from the side of the lock, where the posts are further apart.

Examples of loading (see photos)

Set of vinyl dumbbells ranging from 0.5 to 7 kg: The heaviest weights with a free space next to them, the lighter ones placed side by side, and the rest stacked on top of one another.

1st column: 7 kg – 2nd: any weight – 3rd: 6 kg – 4th: 5 kg – 5th: any weight
6th: 4 kg – 7th: 3 kg – 8th: 2 kg – 9th: 1.5 kg (two stacked dumbbells) – 10th: 1 kg – 11th: 0.5 kg

Vinyl dumbbells from 6 to 10 kg with alternating weights:

Guidelines for safe use

Do not exceed the maximum distributed weight of 400 kg. If the alternating columns are fully loaded with 9–10 kg dumbbells, this limit may be exceeded: in that case, leave a few spaces free.
To ensure safety when positioning and lifting, Hex Rubber Dumbbells should only be loaded up to 14 kg.
Guide the dumbbell into the rack without dropping it, particularly vinyl-coated dumbbells, as their coating can tear if they are knocked.
