It is not possible to purchase individual borders.

The amount of edge pairs required to cover a tatami area is equal to the number of tiles on the longest side multiplied by 2.

Example 1: For a 3×2 layout, 6 pairs of borders must be purchased.

The tatami cannot be perfectly identical if the tiles are purchased at a distance.

EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) tiles, like all foam materials, may show variations in colour, density or surface texture between different production batches. These differences are completely normal and result from production tolerances typical of soft materials and processing conditions.

In the course of use, then, EVA tends to change slightly under compression and friction, progressively adapting to the support surface, the activity performed and the environment. It is therefore natural that a user, accustomed to his or her tatami over time, will perceive a different degree of softness, friction or elastic response to new tiles.
