Gloves and bags specially made for boxing and fitness training
Constant movement, speed, explosiveness, power and endurance: boxing is one of the most technically but above all athletically complex sports, with prolonged high-intensity exertion involving virtually all muscle chains.
Adequate preparation is therefore indispensable, especially at professional levels, and this is confirmed by one of the main performers in Italy and Europe, namely Matteo 'il Giaguaro' Signani: the 39-year-old boxer from Romagna was the Italian Middleweight Champion, a category in which he also obtained a European Union Champion title, a WBA Intercontinental Champion and an I.B.F. Latin Champion, and is currently number 3 in Europe.
In addition to Signani's grit and skill, functional training, which is an integral part of his athletic training with coach Giorgio Campanella, also played a role in all this. Read more [......]

For mixed-gender fitness boxing classes, a 20–30 kg punching bag allows for controlled swinging and repeated strikes without placing excessive strain on the wrists and shoulders. In boxing gyms with advanced athletes, or for kickboxing and mixed martial arts, the weight is increased to 50 kg; at this weight, the bag remains stable under powerful strikes and allows for work on heavy hooks, uppercuts and kicks.
-
Boxing gloves (12 oz in the 2108 model) are designed for strikers: they feature extended padding on the knuckles and back of the hand, a wrist strap, and protection for bag work or sparring. Striking gloves are open at the palm with reinforced front padding; they are worn by the coach or training partner to take the blows during technical work focused on precision and speed, with glove-to-glove contact.
-
Yes. A 30–50 kg bag causes repeated oscillations and jolts that a standard bracket cannot withstand. The Wall Anchor 9062/1 and the stainless steel model 9063 are designed for structural ceiling mounting, whilst the Wall Bar 9060 is specifically for load-bearing walls, with sufficient clearance from the wall to prevent impact. It is the installer’s responsibility to check the type of masonry.

Fitness boxing uses the technical movements of boxing (jab, cross, hook, uppercut) as the basis for a timed cardio-metabolic workout, often in a circuit incorporating a skipping rope, jumping jacks and bodyweight exercises. There is no contact between participants. Lighter equipment is required: 20–30 kg punching bags, gel-padded gloves, mats and fast skipping ropes.
-
For speed and coordination training for boxers, a speed rope with a thin cord and lightweight handles is used, such as the 2708 Premium Speed Jump model. For group classes and beginners, the Control Jump Rope 2703 or the Aerobic Jump 2703V model are better suited, with a heavier cord and stable rotation that helps maintain the rhythm without tripping.

No. The training pad (pao) is a flat striking pad held by the coach with one or both hands, used for technical work on combinations of jabs, hooks and uppercuts, or elbow, knee and shin strikes in disciplines that permit them, such as MMA, Thai boxing, etc. The curved shield covers the coach’s torso and abdomen, absorbs more powerful strikes – including kicks in kickboxing – and enables power work. In boxing gyms, both are often used at different stages of the session.

The ballastable base with bag (model 2095/1) is designed for those who cannot drill holes in walls or ceilings: personal training studios, home gyms and rented premises. It must be filled with water or sand to reach the required working weight. Compared to a hanging bag, it has less swing and is not particularly suited to absorbing powerful blows, but it remains the preferred choice for fitness boxing and technical work at medium intensity.
-
It is not compulsory but is always recommended. Under the punching bag and in the technical training area, a technical rubber flooring with a thickness of 10–20 mm is used to absorb vibrations and protect the original flooring where the punching bags rest on the floor. Whereas for suspended bags and ground-based work (stretching, conditioning, ground and pound), EVA flooring 1–4 cm thick is recommended; this helps to protect the athlete’s joints and provides feedback more similar to what they will experience in the ring.
-
You will need at least two hanging bags of different weights (30 and 50 kg) to cater for users with varying levels of experience, a set of 12 oz gloves to be shared, Pao striking pads for partner work, and enough fast skipping ropes to go round for all the athletes in the session. A functional wall-mounted Swedish wall bar can accommodate the punching bag’s anchor point if it is the correct size.
-
The upholstery should be cleaned with a damp cloth and a neutral detergent; never use solvents. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided, as these can damage the leather and stitching. Every six months, check the hooks, chains and wall fixings. If the beanbag settles and becomes compacted at the bottom, rotate it by 180° to redistribute the filling and extend its lifespan.
