Cork Ball - Massage Ball
Cork version of the Hard Massage Ball code 1275. The Cork Ball, with a diameter of 6.5 cm, is specially designed for self-massage exercises for muscle relaxation. The same applies to the Cork Ball as to the Cork Roller code 2499tools that it is advisable to combine.
The pressure of the body's weight on the massage ball, or roller, causes compression of 'trigger points', irritable and painful muscle knots, from which muscular hypertension can arise. According to theories of mechanical treatment through massage, the compression of these nodes can 'defuse' one of the main sources of pain and causes of muscular hypertension.
Hard Massage Balls and Massage Rollers are used in activities aimed at improving muscle function, joint mobility, and thus in activities designed to improve functional efficiency and body well-being. For this reason, the use of this equipment in athletic training is increasing.
Compared to the Massage Roller, the work performed by the Cork Ball is much more precise, deeper and more intense. The size of the Cork Ball makes it possible to precisely reach the points to be treated, even the most difficult to reach, and its hardness allows an extremely deep action.
The ball deforms very little and, like the masseur's fingers, can result in deep stimulation. Stimulation that is effective but also painful if the ball is pressed with a lot of weight on it. For this reason, in addition to the floor, it may be appropriate to make use of walls or other planes in order to better control the pressure exerted and better manage the detraining movements.

New line of cork tools
The solution is significant above all on an aesthetic level, because cork manages to express the image of a natural, biocompatible raw material in harmony with life. This appears extremely consistent with this type of equipment, often used as accessories in holistic disciplines.
However, there are also technical aspects that justify making gymnastic equipment, to be used in contact with the body, from this natural element. Cork is structured using closed cells and has important qualities: non-toxic, hypoallergenic, odourless, waterproof, compact, resistant, light, durable, elastic. It is no coincidence that the historical application of cork is in the production of corks for wine bottles.
The behaviour of cork with respect to wetness, in our case with respect to sweat, and the high waterproofing qualities, are perhaps the most interesting aspects for our application, both in terms of hygiene and the fact that cork does not become slippery. High grip is indeed an important quality for these tools, a quality that becomes essential in the case of the mat. The 3014 Cork Mat is exceptionally non-slip, in fact, the wetter it gets, the greater the grip. Excellent in all holistic disciplines but particularly in hot yoga.
