The Rope Protector 1710/1 is compatible with the Gym Rope Sidea models 1710 and 1711, and with all functional training ropes with a diameter between 38 and 50 mm. The dimensions of the sleeve (40 cm long, 21 cm wide) allow it to effectively wrap around the critical bend point during battling rope and slam exercises.
-
The Rope Protector is positioned at the point where the rope bends, typically where it passes round a pole, rack or anchor point. The Velcro fastening system allows it to be secured firmly so that it does not slip during training. It protects the area most subject to friction and wear during dynamic exercises with a gym rope.
-
The Rope Protector is secured using a Velcro fastening: wrap the fabric sleeve around the section of rope to be protected and fasten the Velcro by overlapping the strips. The 21 cm width ensures sufficient contact surface for ropes with a diameter of up to 50 mm, whilst the 40 cm length adequately covers the bending area.
-
The Rope Protector reduces wear at the point where the rope bends by creating a protective barrier between the rope and the contact surface. The fabric absorbs the friction that would otherwise damage the rope’s fibres, thereby extending its lifespan. It is particularly useful for ropes that are secured to metal structures or rough surfaces during high-intensity exercises.
-
The Rope Protector 1710/1 weighs 0.5 kg. This light weight does not affect the rope’s dynamics during battling rope, wave or slam exercises, ensuring that the gym rope’s manoeuvrability and responsiveness remain unchanged.
-
The Rope Protector 1710/1 is compatible with any functional training rope with a diameter of between 38 and 50 mm, regardless of the manufacturer. Its standard dimensions (40 x 21 cm) and Velcro fastening system make it suitable for various types of gym ropes available on the market.
-
The Rope Protector is made from hard-wearing fabric. For cleaning, we recommend following the manufacturer’s instructions regarding the care of fabric accessories for fitness equipment. The Velcro fastening must be kept free from dust and fibres to ensure it continues to fasten effectively over time.
-
For a standard gym rope, a Rope Protector is required at the central anchor point, where the rope bends. If the rope is used in set-ups with multiple bending points or multiple anchor points, it may be necessary to use several protectors. Each Rope Protector covers a section 40 cm in length.
