The kit includes a total of 150 Kg of Pu Bumper Plates, divided into two 5 kg plates (code 9040/3), two 10 kg (code 9042/3), two 15 kg (code 9043/3), two 20 kg (code 9044/3),and two of 25 kg (code 9046/3); coloured according to the IWF standard, this bumper line is made of metal discs covered with polyurethane.
As already pointed out, polyurethane can be considered the best material for producing discs.
Extremely high strength, therefore to withstand the rocker falling to the ground (hence the name bumper = bumper) extraordinary compactness, low rebound, no odour, clear colouring, no imperfections and mould marks, perfect coupling with the steel plate, PU discs represent the best possible solution in terms of reliability, aesthetics and overall quality.
The wear and light degradation of polyurethane is significantly lower than that of rubber; PU discs have a very low thickness, which makes it possible to load a barbell over 350 kg.
The steel ring, placed to protect the bore, is in fact the cheapest and most common construction solution, but has the limitation of wearing the disc more in the central part.
A relative limitation because Pu Bumper Plate brilliantly passes tests over 20,000 drops.
