Air Ski HC004 simulates the gymnastic gesture of Nordic skiing. Due to its ability to offer a complete and intense workout, especially for the upper body, it is an effective part of high-intensity full-body training programmes (HIIT). The type of exercise, characterised by a continuous and fluid movement to be performed while standing, is challenging and particularly effective in improving muscular strength, endurance and overall aerobic and anaerobic capacity.
Air Ski HC004 is a professional piece of equipment designed for the gym and uses the same air resistance technology as Air Row HC003, with which it shares part of the components. The resistance, obtained by means of a fan (fan blade system), increases more than proportionally as the speed of its rotation increases, according to a principle that makes the intensity of the workout directly related to the power applied by the user. The aero braking system offers the possibility of adjusting the flow of air to the fan, thus varying the dynamics of the resistance and thus the workload.
Muscle Activation and Total Workout Training on the Air Ski: the athlete pulls the handles using the two typical Nordic skiing techniques: double pole, in which both arms are used simultaneously, or alternating, in which arm movements are alternated (classic technique). The action, which is inevitably very intense, also from a joint and coordination point of view, mainly engages the upper part of the body, i.e. all the muscle groups of the torso, and partly, given the active standing position, also the muscles of the lower part. The training is therefore complete not only in terms of strength and endurance, but also because it improves balance, coordination and general stability.
Efficiency: with the exception of two small batteries for the CPU, the Air Ski runs without electricity, is easy to install and move, reducing energy costs and minimising maintenance requirements.
Construction: Built with quality materials and a robust, heavy-duty structure, the Air Ski guarantees durability and reliability, also thanks to the simple construction of the components, both mechanical and electronic.
Monitoring: equipped with an essential but comprehensive display, the Air Ski shows performance metrics in real time: RPM, time, distance, speed, calories, watts, pulse, interval training programmes. Bluetooth and wireless receiver.
Delivery: Air Row HC004 with platform - complete self-supporting configuration, is delivered packed in two cartons:
- 58x124x47 cm, weight 50 kg
- 62x131x8.5 cm, weight 18 kg
Assembly is simple, intuitive and described in the user manual.
(internal transport and assembly, not included in the sales price).
ATTENTION: The code HC004 identifies the tool complete with platform and therefore the Air Ski in the self-supporting configuration.
It is, however, possible to purchase the components separately: just the tool without the footplate, so that it can be fixed to a structure or wall, or just the footplate. These are the codes:
- HC004 Air Ski with Floor Stand (Full Optional) - full freestanding configuration
- HC004/1 Air Ski wall mounted (no Base) - only tool without footboard - wall mounted
- HC004/2 Air Ski only base - only footplate to match HC004/1
Features:
Console: LCD screen
Connection: Bluetooth and wireless receiver
Programmes: 1 interval, 2 target settings.
220v power supply: not required
Brake: air, 10 settings
Minimum dimensions with base: 126 x 74 x h216 cm
Minimum dimensions without base: d38 x w55 x h216 cm

IMPORTANT: HC004 Air Ski is shipped unassembled.
Wall anchoring HC004/1: For anchoring it is always necessary to rely on a professional technician to assess the type of wall, its thickness and its specific condition. A general recommendation for a reinforced concrete wall is to use 4 dowels with M8 screws. These anchors are not supplied by Sidea.
