R8880B1–R8880B80 Marker Dumbbell Rack: open-track flexibility and designated positions

Horizontal handlebar racks generally feature two main mounting solutions: continuous supports, made using open rails or brackets, and individual moulded mounts, commonly known as “half-moons”.

The open rail system allows dumbbells to be arranged freely, adapting their positioning to the actual dimensions of the different weights and making the best use of the available space. The moulded slots, on the other hand, assign each dumbbell a fixed position, resulting in a visually tidy arrangement.

However, fixed positions may prove to be rather inflexible when dealing with handlebars of different sizes, multiple sets of the same weight, or particularly extensive and varied equipment. Furthermore, the presence of a single slot does not prevent the handlebar from being stored in a space that does not correspond to the correct size.

The 8880 Dumbbell Rack was designed by Sidea with an open-track configuration, chosen to offer great freedom of positioning and make efficient use of the entire available length. For those who wish to combine this flexibility with the visual clarity of designated positions, Sidea has developed the Dumbbell Rack Markers R8880B1–R8880B80.

Each marker clearly identifies the load and delineates the space allocated to the corresponding pair of dumbbells. It therefore serves a dual purpose: it guides the user in correctly repositioning the equipment and acts as a separator, limiting lateral movement and contact between adjacent dumbbells.

Sold individually and available in various weights ranging from 1 to 80 kg, the Markers allow you to configure the rack according to the specific equipment available in the gym. They can be used on all the slots or just on part of the rail, whilst retaining the flexibility of organisation that characterises the 8880 rack.

The result is a customisable solution that combines the space-saving benefits of an open rack with a more organised and instantly recognisable layout for the handlebars.
