One of the latest to be rediscovered by the fitness world, the Gym Hammer is an extremely suitable piece of equipment for athletic training in multiple disciplines, but also for enhancing physical qualities useful for performance and aesthetic goals. Unlike normal hammers on the market, these tools are specifically designed for use in training [LINK]. particularly with regard to grip grip and length.
Strength, power, speed, co-ordination and reactivity are just some of the characteristics on which improvements can be achieved through the use of the Gym Hammer, which has the property of amplifying the frequencies of neuromuscular impulses, fundamental for increasing the speed of activation of the fibres and therefore the power of the gesture. Other benefits undoubtedly concern the strengthening of the grip, requiring obligatory connections between the hand/wrist and elbow groups and the entire scapulo-humeral thoracic girdle, but also the improvement of the perception and stability of the Core: in ballistic work, in fact, the use of the Gym Hammer allows the cingulum-scapular fulcrum to be mobile but at the same time stable on the various planes of movement.
The exercises and training that can be performed with this equipment can vary from dynamic or isometric work (using it in this case as an unstable support base) to multi-planar ballistic work, as well as load transfer without deceleration (when combined with the Tire).
Apparently similar tools, such as Clubbell [LINK]. or Macebell [LINK].they actually have substantial differences. Compared to clubs, the Gym Hammer in fact has a mass that is totally off-centre and much further away from the point of grip (the shaft reaches a length of 100 cm, whereas Clubs do not exceed 70 cm). The differences with the Macebell, on the other hand, mainly concern the shape of the mass, which allows for greater possibilities of use for the Hammer, as well as a significantly higher weight. A Macebell can in fact reach a maximum of 15kg while the Gym Hammer ranges from 4 to 20kg, which allows you to vary the load more according to your training goals.
