The kit includes a total of 150 kg of Black Rubber Bumper plates, divided into two 5 kg plates (code 9040/1), two 10 kg (code 9042/1), two 15 kg (code 9043/1), two 20 kg (code 9044/1),and two of 25 kg (code 9046/1).
Black Rubber Bumper Plates are all-rubber discs, made for weightlifting, powerlifting, cross training and therefore to resist the barbell falling to the ground (hence the name bumper = bumper). To ensure evenly distributed support, as well as a fixed height of the bar from the floor, the Bumper Plates are all produced with the same outer diameter, conventionally set at 45 cm by the various federal regulations. Due to its mechanical characteristics, synthetic rubber is the most suitable material for making this type of disc.
The high quality of the rubber, which is almost odourless, with an excellent elastic coefficient and good mechanical resistance, allows for exceptional levels of durability despite the adoption of the ring.
The steel ring, placed to protect the bore, is in fact the cheapest and most common construction solution, but has the limitation of wearing the disc more in the central part.
A relative limit because the Black Rubber Bumper Plates brilliantly pass tests of over 20,000 drops.

Bumper Plate Selection Guide
I bumper discs (bumper=bumper) are discs designed to limit the consequences of the loaded barbell hitting, or falling to the ground. Some weightlifting specialities in fact involve lifts in which the fall of the loaded barbell is an integral part of the exercise. For this reason, the bumper discs are completely made of rubber with metal inserts (plates or rings) to protect the central area where the balance insertion hole is located.
From a constructional point of view, the main nominal dimensions: outer disc diameter 450 mm, bore 50 mm, are defined by the standard specified by the IWF (International Weightlifting Federation).The spread of weightlifting in the athletic preparation and in the functional fitness led to the production of different lines and models:
9040/1-9044/1 Black Rubber Bumper Plate
Composed of sizes 5, 10, 15, 20 kg, exclusively in black. This line is made entirely of rubber (with a central steel ring) and was created with the aim of obtaining the best quality/price ratio. Being more elastic than polyurethane, rubber guarantees a good level of shock absorption, but at the same time it is a material that is more subject to wear in the long term, particularly in the case of intensive use.
9040/3-9046/3 PU Bumper Plate - Colour
Composed of sizes 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 kg, colours according to IWF standard and white details. Being realised in polyurethanethis line of bumpers is high-performance and allows for high standards of strength. It is advisable to combine these bumper discs with high performance and tensile strength values, as the greater rigidity of polyuratane compared to rubber ensures greater durability, but also a higher degree of vibration and shock transmission.
9040/4-9046/4 PU Bumper Plate - Black
Composed of sizes 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 kg, entirely coloured black with white details. Being realised in polyurethanethis line of bumpers is high-performance and allows for high standards of strength. It is advisable to combine these bumper discs with high performance and tensile strength values, as the greater rigidity of polyuratane compared to rubber ensures greater durability, but also a higher degree of vibration and shock transmission.
9042/5-9046/5 Competition Rubber Bumper Plate
Series consisting of sizes 10, 15, 20 and 25 kg, with colours according to the IWF standard. Despite being made from the same rubber as the Pro-Training series, the large central metal plate and the construction techniques adopted give this series the highest quality standards for competition discs, both in terms of performance and durability.
9036/6-9046/6 Powerlifting Plates
Aesthetically beautiful, calibrated, thin, extremely resistant, coloured according to international standards, complete in the sizes; 0.25, 0.5, 1.25, 2.5, 5; 10; 15; 20; 25 kg, these single-sided steel discs make up a special line dedicated to Powerlifting and characterised by precise technical and qualitative choices, of a superior level.

9040/7-9044/7 Crumb Rubber Bumper Plate
Made from recycled rubber granules from shoes, these discs are distinguished by their characteristic stone effect design and a rubber approximately 10% softer than standard bumpers. This composition gives them more elasticity, a slightly higher rebound and a slightly reduced noise impact on the ground.
