The new Sidea Rubber Plates introduce a premium high-density rubber coating, featuring a silky finish obtained by micro-sanding, which sets a new benchmark in price-performance ratio for this category of discs. The clean and homogenous surface finish achieves a quality close to the PU finish, while maintaining a more affordable positioning.
Handling is extremely comfortable, an advantage that is particularly noticeable with heavier weights (15, 20, 25 kg), especially during barbell and plate-loading machines. Symmetrical grips and rounded edges further improve ergonomics, making the plate usable for one-handed or two-handed exercises, including, for example:
- Halo (spinning around the head)
- Crunches with overload
- Woodchopper (diagonal twists)
- Goblet Squat
- Long with chest or overhead plate
- Calf Raise
- Overhead Walking Lunge
- Squat to Press
In addition to its high quality and density, the rubber cover features a thick shoulder, designed to provide a wide and protected contact point. This conformation ensures a soft and highly absorbent contact surface, while keeping the internal cast iron structure well protected from shocks and abrasions.
Rubber Plates 9030/3-9036/3 are not suitable for drops and must not be dropped uncontrolled from above. They may, however, be used for ground drops, provided they are performed in a very controlled manner and on suitably rubberized surfaces or, preferably, on Sidea Drop Mats 0404.
The design combination of high-density rubber and cast iron core allows for a significantly thinner disc, which saves space on the rocker sleeves and machine pivots and increases the load capacity.
The central ring is equipped with a rounded stainless steel ring, designed to ensure smooth and immediate insertion on both Ø 50 mm rocker arms and machine loading pins. Its rounded shape also allows it to be used as an additional gripping point, without the typical sharp edges of machined rings.
