FRACTIONAL PLATES (MY2021) - IWF Standard Fractional Discs
The series of Fractional Plates (also called micro-loads) consists of small, rubber-coated metal discs for fractionating the weight to be lifted with an Olympic barbell, available in sizes 0.125 - 0.250 - 0.5 - 1 - 1.5 - 2 - 2.5 - 5 kg, coloured according to IWF regulations.
The hole, 50 mm in diameter, is not fitted with a ring but is characterised by the presence of a membrane capable of exerting a frictional grip on the rocker arm. Thanks to this solution, the fractional discs can be positioned externally to the disc retainer collars so that they can be engaged and disengaged more quickly.
In fact, the rubber membrane allows loading but, by adhering to the disc holder, does not allow the disc to move or slip out easily due to gravity (function FRICTION GRIP).
ATTENTION: the 0.125 kg plate (code 9038/125) and the 0.250 kg plate (code 9038/250) do not have the FRICTION GRIP.
