PUBLIC ISLAND OUTRACE T6 - Outdoor training area for public spaces
The Public Island OUTRACE T6 is a structure designed to provide outdoor training solutions in public spaces, such as parks, gardens and beaches. The structure and all related components and accessories have in fact been designed in accordance with the EN 16630 standard, which aims to ensure the safety of those who exercise outdoors while using freely accessible equipment.
Compared to the Public Island Rack version code 9085this model combines the possibility of outdoor training in public spaces with the elegant, high-impact and instantly recognisable design of OUTRACE facilities.
Unlike standard configurations, the Public Island OUTRACE T6 has the characteristic of being exclusively equipped with fixed components, which cannot be removed or moved at will. These accessories have also been entirely redesigned and redesigned to also comply with safety regulations for sports equipment intended for public spaces.
In terms of training, the Public Island OUTRACE was created with the aim of combining a twofold need: to provide a professional, functional and complete solution, suitable for experienced athletes in the fields of functional training, calisthenics, street workout or Crossfit ®, but which at the same time also represents a practical, versatile and safe training option for users who want to perform activities to improve their physical well-being.
A need, this, which has resulted in a series of components and training stations that make this facility a true multi-functional 'island', within which it is possible to configure extremely diversified training and circuits and, above all, suitable for all levels.
Workstations and accessories
The main structure of this Public Island model is the OUTRACE T6 Black-Corten, i.e. consisting of a single central beam supported by a column on one side and a gantry on the other, which differs from the standard configuration in that it has been redesigned to comply with the safety standards for equipment intended for public spaces (EN 16630).
The central traverse is equipped on one side with a Side Sky Gym Ladder, a horizontal ladder for exercises such as Monkey Walk, and on the other with two Jump Ups, each consisting of 4 traction bars in an inclined position. Both of these accessories, which are also available as OUTRACE components, have been redesigned from their standard counterparts (code no. OR16017 and code no. OR16011 respectively) so that they are suitable for public spaces. Below the gantry is a Horizontal Bar, which is useful for bodyweight training exercises such as push-ups or rowing.
The three ground support points of the structure then serve as anchorage points for numerous components of the Public Island OUTRACE T6. On one side of the portal is a ring training station, which reaches a total height of 3.51 m and is already equipped with steel rings positioned 2 m above the ground.
Underneath the gantry, the Horizontal Bar (positioned at a height of 90 cm) can be used as a support for bodyweight training exercises such as push-ups or rowing. On the other side of the gantry is the Bench, a bench with a surface made of treated wood for outdoor use and an inclination of 10°, which is particularly suitable for training the abdominals with exercises such as crunches and leg raises, but also in combination with dumbbells or other equipment for exercises such as chest presses or rowing machines.
Finally, the last point of support on the ground of the structure, the central column, acts as a support for two components: the Pull-Up Bar, a pull-up bar with a height of 2.43 m and a diameter of 38 mm, and the Dips Bars, two 48 mm diameter tubular bars spaced 56 cm apart, which, thanks to their 'S' shape, have a triple function.
The upper part, parallel to the ground and set at a height of 1.03 m, can be used for classic free-body Dips exercises as well as for abdominal and core exercises such as L-Sits and Leg Raises. The lower part of the tubulars, on the other hand, is inclined, making it useful for exercises such as Push-ups or Triceps dips.
Separate from the OUTRACE T6, but nevertheless included with this configuration, are the three Public Island Plyoboxes and the Parallels. The former are three parallelepipeds fixed directly to the ground, useful for plyometric exercises and made in three different heights (30-60-90 cm) with a metal base and surface made of treated wood for outdoor use.
The Parallels, on the other hand, consist of 50 mm diameter tubulars, 126 cm high and approximately 60 cm apart, and allow numerous suspension exercises to be performed, with or without overload (e.g. via Belt with Chain).
Fixing the Public Island OUTRACE T6
The Public Island OUTRACE T6 must be anchored to a reinforced concrete slab at least 15 cm thick using the Fixing Kit for Concrete Plateau (code T6BCP/C), supplied in the pack, which includes chemical anchor plugs for concrete.
The adoption of a concrete slab as a base implies, according to the UNI EN 16630 standard, the presence of an anti-trauma floor with a minimum thickness of 40mm, e.g. 9198 or 9199. The purpose is to cushion the user's accidental fall during training.
