9202S EcoGym Floor Straight Edge 2 cm - Technical flooring made of recycled rubber
Technical flooring produced by agglomeration of ultra-fine recycled rubber granules, straight edge with bevel.
Designed to cushion the fall of free weights such as kettlebells, dumbbells and barbells, EcoGym Floor 9202S represents excellence in the market for single-colour straight-edge recycled rubber tiles in terms of construction and finish.
- High shock absorption capacity: excellent comfort during floor exercises.
- Excellent grip and stability during exercises, even when there is sweat on the floor.
- Exceptional mechanical strength, with fewer incisions and cuts than other types of flooring.
- Chamfered edge: processing that creates a sloping edge, making it possible to minimise the visibility of joints between tiles.
Granulated recycled rubber
The ability to absorb shocks, the excellent comfort during floor exercises and the excellent grip even when sweating on the floor are a direct consequence of the ultra-fine granular composition. The use of recycled rubber not only represents a virtuous re-use of used material, but also has a positive impact on the cost of production.
It is important to note that shock-absorbing capacity must be properly considered when flooring is used as protection for an existing floor. A few millimetres of rubber cannot completely absorb every type of shock. The force resulting from the fall of a barbell loaded with tens of kilos will always be partly transferred to the floor underneath.
Mono layer - ultra-fine granules
The use of a rubber powder with ultra-fine granules of the best quality guarantees the production of a single-layer tile that is compact, stable, comfortable to the touch and more economical in construction compared to double-layer tiles, which involve the production and bonding of the two layers of rubber.
Ultra-fine rubber powder is characterised by its high quality, which is achieved through careful processing that removes impurities such as stones and non-rubber elements. This process guarantees a homogenous and pure composition, which is essential for the production of precise and defect-free tiles.
Single-colour straight edge with chamfer
EcoGym Floor 9202S represents excellence in the market for single-colour straight-edge recycled rubber tiles. In addition to the use of ultra-fine rubber granules of the highest quality, with very few non-rubber impurities, it is the tile finishing and quality controls that determine this manufacturing supremacy. The use of high-precision matrices, regular maintenance of the same, accurate temperature control and precision dosing of the adhesives, are essential to obtain tiles with reduced tolerances and minimal aesthetic defects.
In technical jargon, the chamfer on the four edges of the rubber tile is called a 'bevel'. The chamfer is a process that creates a sloping edge, making it possible to minimise the visibility of joints between tiles when they are laid head to head.
The laying of straight-edged tiles, sports use, and the thermal deformation of rubber, in fact determine the problem of the inevitable occurrence of joints between tiles, especially if laid without adhesives or without the insertion of some double-sided adhesive at the perimeter points. The presence of the bevel is not sufficient to eliminate the onset of joints, which can only be effectively minimised by careful laying.
Other EcoGym features
EcoGym is produced without the use of dangerous substances ref. CEE 76/769 and without the use of adhesives containing formaldehyde ref. EN 717/1.
The tiles measure 1000 x 1000 mm. As an indication, to calculate the number of tiles needed, one 20% can be added to the sqm of the area: e.g. 30 sqm + 20% = 36 tiles.
As far as cleaning is concerned, it is sufficient to vacuum and then wash the floor with water and detergent in minimal quantities. White deposits or footprints may occur due to the close presence of dusty areas. In these cases, scrubbing brushes with a built-in sponge are useful. For areas larger than 150 m2 we recommend the use of floor washers with rotating brushes that can wash and collect dirty water.
