9201P5 EcoGym 5 mm
The flooring in the EcoGym line is made of recycled rubber granules, a material with high performance in terms of mechanical resistance and technical functionality. Distinctive features include the ability to absorb impacts from controlled free-fall weights, excellent resistance to cuts and incisions, and a high coefficient of friction, which guarantees adherence even when there is sweat on the ground.
The 5 mm version 9201P5, the thinnest in the range, is specifically designed for applications where high shock absorption is not required, but a stable, non-slip surface resistant to wear from controlled tool contact is sought. The reduced thickness means less material is used, with a direct benefit in economic terms, while maintaining the essential qualities of grip and durability.
Designed for use in areas dedicated to functional training and weight training, 9201P5 EcoGym 5 mm is suitable in all contexts where neither structural load-bearing capacity nor carriageability is required. While offering a low degree of impact absorption, the flooring effectively protects the subfloor from scratches and indentations caused by equipment. The white speckling contributes to a more aesthetically pleasing appearance, making the flooring less prone to the visibility of footprints, dust and marks, problems typical of uniform black grained recycled rubber floor coverings.
From a dimensional and functional point of view, recycled rubber is sensitive to thermal variations, with possible expansion and contraction phenomena that can generate gaps or spacing between tiles. To overcome these problems, model 9201P5 is equipped with a jigsaw joint, a technical solution that limits the formation of joints caused by thermal deformation and prevents the tiles from shifting due to the movement of users, especially in "island" installations, which are not bound perimeter to walls.
Finally, we would like to point out that 9201P5 EcoGym 5 mm cannot be wheeled: the transit of wheels (e.g. benches, trolleys or mobile equipment) may cause permanent ripples and localised damage. For this reason, it is not recommended for use in heavily frequented equipment rooms or in contexts where intensive, uncontrolled use of wheeled equipment is planned. Similarly, 9201P5 EcoGym 5 mm is not suitable for laying on very large surfaces - indicatively more than 100 m² - as the reduced thickness of the tiles can lead to expansion, resulting in inaccurate joints. The application of double-sided adhesive, used sparingly and progressively, can be a palliative solution.
