WHAT Holistic Training is
Holistic Training refers to all those activities that aim to achieve balance and well-being on a psycho-physical level. This includes Yoga, Pilates, Hammock Fitness and, in general, all those disciplines that aim to improve qualities such as posture, joint mobility, proprioception and balance, but that also allow one to relax and at the same time improve concentration and clarity, bringing tangible benefits in everyday life.
These activities are mainly performed free-body, or with the aid of a few simple pieces of equipment that allow for increased training possibilities or even just comfort and convenience during execution.
As activities are often performed on the floor, the choice of the most suitable flooring or even just the mat on which the exercises will be performed is particularly important when setting up holistic training areas.
CARPETS
Exercises and circuits that exploit the user's body weight (with or without overloads) to develop customised and extremely versatile suspension work, with particular reference to the most representative piece of equipment in this discipline, the Flying code 2092.
YOGA-PILATES EQUIPMENT
Balls of various sizes, shapes and weights: the different characteristics of the various models allow for different training applications.
TATAMI
Tools with unique features that improve strength and power, but also coordination, mobility and grip strengthening.
When equipping an area for holistic training, training facilities do not play a fundamental role, except in specific cases, such as Hammock Fitness and holistic suspension disciplines in general, where on the contrary they are indispensable.
For Yoga or Pilates classes, for example, it is sufficient to have a space large enough to accommodate all class participants. Definitely more useful in this respect, however, can be an adequate storage solution for the material needed for this type of activity (mats, balls and specific accessories).
